If in doubt there's less to lose by going 32:1, or so say people I know who collect and work on old outboard motors.

If the gas hose is single, it's a 50:1 if the gas line is a double hose, it's 32:1

That's not true. My old Eska is a single line hose and 32:1. Some say I could go 50:1 with "today's better oils," by friends who collect and work on old outboard motors say it's better safe than sorry...

it is 50 to 1 atleast it is in my 1969 and 1972 merc 65 horse motors.
