QUOTE(Nickh @ Jul 10 2009, 07:56 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hey guys, it's my my second post and I was just wondering if I am able to troll out on st. clair, towards the light, primarily going for walleye, without using planer boards. Usually I go out with a few buddies and we just drift using crawler harnesses and we usually go out around 5:30-6:00a.m. We usually do fairly well out there but recently we haven't caught anything except seaweeds and I'm beginning to believe its because were not trolling. So idk if I am able to troll without having a trolling motor or planer boards? I can get the boat down to around 1-2 mph though. But anyways thanks for the help in advance, Nick

last weekend we got 9 eye's statred at can 27 fished the edge of channel to can 25 then headed west about 1/2 mile and trolled back in big loop zig Zag to cover more water.
4oz bottom bouncer, with 6 foot lead.
