We were expecting a perfect fit after sending the top to Fla for Sea Ray to copy the patern and make a new one. Well last night we put it on and what a pain in the a$$. My fingers are still sore. The thing fits soo damn tight. I can understand a new top being tight but this one is ridiculous. Was rippin some of the stitching and had to hang from some of the framing to get the zippers goin. Not to mention the fact that we had to put on the side and aft snaps. The fabric was almost 2 inches short in some areas! We managed to get it on with the exception of a couple of loose zippers and snaps. I REALLY REALLY hope it stretches out in the rain and sun. From what I heard Sunbrella tops are made to fit tight but like I said this is nuts. I don't even wanna think about takin it down!

Well I feel a little better about this now after venting. And of course its gonna be 80 today and not like yesterdays fabric stretchin 58!

My guess is it will shrink over time. I had Cruisers make new front windows for my boat and they didn't fit as good as the original ones either.

This new top does have the little loops in it to yank on but I think I need a fence stretcher to hook into em!!! I mean there are tight tops ya have to yank on but on this one some spots are a "no way"!! I hope like hell it dont shrink! You would think the factory would have some sort of measurements or template to go buy since they did make the damn boat!
I was excited about workin on the boat till yesterday!

Ya know when they put em on in florida its always 85 out too!
