I am new to fishing lake st clair and have no idea of where to go or what to use. All I want to do is catch fish. I don't really care what I catch as long as I catch something! I usually go out from the Selfridge launch on my little 16 footer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

ajax, very soon the walleyes will be biting over most of the lake. trolling or drifting with crawler harnesses are preffered methods.
popular colors seem to change so have a few handy. i would start with chartruese, gold and copper.
walleyes are caught from 9 mile to metro beach in 7 to 14 feet of water.
i am sure you will get plenty more info soon on this site.
have fun!

Welcome to the network. Bass are out of season so you might want to target them, and if you accidentally catch them refer to DJKimmel's prior post on chewing out a bass if he bites your hook.

Otherwise check out DNR Cory's post, should give you a place to start.
