Upgraded the boat tv last weekend. From a 13" CRT, analog, VHS, to a 19" HD LCD, DVD, 12v. (Thanks for the heads up Stodge!)

Made a mounting bracket out of materials on hand. Primarily, a nice big piece of oak.

I'm pleased with how it turned out. Stows well, rotates forward or aft, and creates new found storage behind the tv.

Looks nice!

I especially like how you use the tailgate of the truck as a workbench. I thought I was the only one who did that.

I was fortunate, all I had to do was set it on the countrt top

Doesn't it tip over, when you go out on the lake?

No....I have a contoured pillow for it that I "pre-tip" it on, so its already laying down!

Yeah, somehow the workbench always ends up as a shelf!

I call that HSDD -- Horizontal Surface Deficit Disorder.

Looks good! Did you paint the mounting bracket after you installed it on the back of the TV???

Modding is cool!

Anyone know how to get black spray paint off plastic and Sea Ray leather?

Actually, remembering your tv and frig mods is party why I included the "no major wow factor" disclaimer.

You'll have to fight with Rachel for the remote!

Thanks all for the kind words
