Do you have a new plans for fishing this year?

Here are Mine.

1. Trim down some of my tackle.

2. Fish St. Clair and the river more for fun, practice and learning.

3. Use search baits more and fish faster when I can get away with it.

4. Try a jigging spoon.

5. Stay confident when I know the fish are there and figure out what they what instead of giving up on a spot to early.

Honorable mention: Catch a 6lb smallie!

This should definately be #1. I've said it before, but you guys would be amazed at how little tackle I bring "on the boat". Of course there is a healthy stash at home. Your productivity will go up and your second guessing will go down. However, this doesn't mean your limited to only using a couple of baits. You just need to tune it in.

Alex,
I agree, that's why it's my #1. I fish with a friend that brings so much stuff that he gets grid lock when it's time to make a decision. He brings 20 rods and fishes with the same 3 or 4.

Keep it simple! The main thing is to have quality tackle and equipment and keep it maintained.

1. To win. Nothing like it once you have done it, I want to do it again. It has been WAY too long.

2. To introduce the sport to more young people. Remember that we will be doing the LSCN/Jack's kids fishing outing again this year. I have spoken to a few tackle sponsors and they are going to be sending gift bags for everyone involved.

3. SELL MORE RODS!

4. Catch a largemouth bigger than my biggest smalmouth.

5. Fish a few more times with The Legend himself. I will have him throwing tubes like a pro by the end of the summer....lol
