I'm looking for information that anyone would be willing to share on Northern Pike fishing on Lake St. Clair. I practice catch-n-release only and used to fishing in northern Ontario (Rainy Lake) for Northerns, SM Bass and Walleye.

Any information is very much appreciated.

Most of the bays on the East side of the lake will hold Pike now. Bob

In 30 years of fishing Lake St Clair, I can't think of many spots that I HAVEN'T caught a few pike! They're everywhere! They're also my favorite catch... they put up a good fight. I rarely keep anything I catch, it all goes back (Unless it's a nice Walleye!).

I fish mostly near weedbed edges & drop-offs... structure fishing, I guess, but I catch plenty of 'em right at the gas dock in the marina... even on busy weekends.

I would think shallow weed beds in Anchor Bay around all the ins and outs and pockets would still be good for pike along with any weed beds up around Grassy Island at the end of the North Channel.
