I have officially taken my bike on a 21.8 mile ride down lakeshore, interacted with traffic, parallel parked cars, pedestrians, gotten gas, stalled and recovered with no panic attacks, successfully did one left hand turn and am ready!!! Was with one other person and it was GREAT... can't imagine how fun it would be with a bigger group.

What say everybody?

Weeknight?

Believe me, that is NOT how I feel when I'm on the bike! It fits perfectly!

And snowmaker gets points for his pic over this one.... heh heh... couldn't find it, though.

Only one person is interested in riding? I was thinking we should plan the route so that everybody has knowledge of the path we'd be taking... can we do all right hand turns?? *wink* what about going out to harsens island? meet somewhere on 23?

damn girl!... i have a whole 19 miles on mine and only 5 of them were ones that I can take credit for.... although that DOESN'T include big scary streets nor stop lights let alone official left hand turns only numerous circles around the block seeing the same old neighbours over and over again....however, I did manage to find myself making one big HUGE u-turn up a side walk and back down someones driveway ...
...

regardless.... i'm in! ..
just give me a few weeks to catch up!

Heck I'll ride with ya, but during the week doesn't work for me, and this weekend I'm taking a long weekend and going back to NH to do some salmon fishing.

But we'll get another weekend rally going soon! The last one was a blast!

When it comes to turning never use the front brake.

Sometime real soon I'll have Pandora fix the carb on my bike so anyone that is a novice can borrow it and practice.

The bike is a 1973 Susuki 125cc enduro and is perfect for beginers.

In th 9 years of owning it I've shown 30 or so people how to ride.

Myself, I like to ride side streets all over town with it. 9 1/2 mile is a good street to go across town. Staying out of Detroit and it goes west without deadends.

Also great for going to the Detroit Fireworks. Criuze Jefferson all the way down and find an open spot on the lawn in Hart Plaza, jump the curb, park and enjoy.

P.S.

Do not ride near Lake St. Clair when it's fishfly season.

Amazing how a gallon and a half will go 80-100 miles on that bike depending on starts and stops.

Also run turbo blue in it. 110 octane in 2 cycle engines work better. Same with snowblower.
