[Woods Before Water]

OK august 30 won out for the get together with 40% of the vote. And according to my sources it is supposed to and I say supposed to be a high of 87 and sunny with some clouds here and there. So now I need to know what time I was thinking like noon or so. That way people have a chance to be home early in case they have other stuff to do. But we need to figure it out so we can plan on it. I will bring a bunch of hot dogs and a dish to put out. We also need to figure out where to meet up. I know there are pits over by the day sail ramp and it is rather shaded plus has a lot of shoreline for the kids competition. All of our alternate dates were before sunday. so if we get rained out we can reschedule.
So maybe we should each put down what we are bringing and if you are coming. how many with you. also ideas on where to meet up.
I will bring a bunch of hot dogs and buns and also potato salad.

when people puts down how many and what you are bringing also include if you would like to do an actual fishing tourny for the kids or some stuff like a casting contest i am going to set it up where all kids will get a prize

If we do fishing i was thinking having the kids come 2 hours prior to the get together time

Sounds good to me. If you guys want to do a fishing or casting it is up to you all. We can even start earlier if people want to.

i just wanted to see what the parents wanted to do because if we fish they will be responsible for supervising their own kids or if they just wanna do a couple of activities close to the cookout area so the kids can have fun and the parents can hang out i have ton of stuff for that

Chicken vs egg argument~ That discussion is debatable!

I am pretty sure you have to reserve a covered area in advance.You may want to check that out as sundays are very crowded there. there are a lot of nice areas there, shade will be a plus if the temp. is upper 80s. Sounds like weather for a water balloon war

Looking foward to meeting all of you folks.

I ride my bike around the park 3 times a week, the day sail area is good, if you set up camp early or you will not have it. The point is real good for the fishing, for the kids. A long walk out there thou, you can take the train out there. Just a few thoughts id pass along.

I'll be going up there monday or tuesday to find out the specifics of what we have to do to have a spot for us. Every time I have gone up there and talked to them they were always really good about using certain areas.
