Sure, MJ had his time as a singer/dancer, but what else has he done for society. Has the nation lost it's mind?? Do we have any values or priorities anymore? Is this the only newsworthy event happening? I turned on the TV a couple of times over the weekend to check the Tigers score and whatnot, and as you flip the the channels, it seems that almost every station has some "breaking story" on the latest Michael Jackson happenings. Who cares???? We are at war in the middle east, economy is in the $hitt3r, North Korea doesn't play nice with other kids, and for some unkown reason, Maglio Ordonez still has a job in detroit. WAKE UP AMERICA!

Good riddance to the freak show. I remember being a fan of hte "original" Michael Jackson, like back in the day with Thriller and Billy Jean and all that when he sang and danced and was still himself. After he freaked out I lost all interest and now I can't wait for them to put him in the ground and get this over with.
I am so sick and tired of hearing about MJ. Honestly there is a whole lot more interesting and important things going on in the world today, I can't even call this news.
That said, I did find it interesting that Fox News reported that MJ will be buried today, without his brain.
Maybe they had trouble locating one, when the autopsy was performed???
I am also so sick of hearing about the freak show. But as far as magglio ordonez still having a job in detroit the guy has given tiger fans a reason to cheer for four years and now you want to fire him. Wins a batting title and has a bad season and oh my lets dump him. So he has lost some power, when the tigers got him his back was messed up yet they gave him a five year 75 million dollar deal cause they thought he could still play. I can't believe it when people say oh my lets get rid of someone cause they are having a bad start. Look how that worked out with gary sheffield tigers are paying him 13.5 million to play for the mets. He is tearing it up as a pinch hitter for the mets. And now they are using him to replace there injured right fielder. So I say give maggs a little credit. He has contributed here when the tigers were nothing more than the kansas city royals stepping mat. Just My Opinion Though.

No he has not done a darn thing for society...oh wait a minute, yes, he did a lot for society. I'm not a Jackson fan but I will give credit where credit is due he was the most un-selfish pop star in history he is even in the world record book as the pop star with the most charitable contributions.

Fair enough. I'm just tired of the drama.

While it may be true that MJ was quite generous, others have been so as well. You don't hear about them for days on end and you don't hear of them paying $ 23 million to settle out of court, after being accused of crimes against children!
Sorry, but just my .02
And in today's news, the booze was flowing as Lindsay Lohan celebrated her birthday at an exclusive VIP gathering.

Brangelina went to the movie in NYC, and reportedly gave the feature 2 thumbs up!

Britney fended of the paparazzi as she had her hair done and got a manicure in LA.

And in other news, North Korea launched 7 missiles at Hawaii.

They don't nominate someone for a nobel peace prize for being a child molester he got a raw deal on that one it was just easier to settle and get it over with then to drag it out for years. Only God knows the truth on that one otherwise it was accusations from parents wanting to make a quick buck. I guess Elvis Presley did not deserve the media coverage he got from overdoseing or Curt Cobain or Jim Bulushi or chris farley, jim Morrison, Jemi Hendrix, and others. What ticked me off was the big deal made out of the deaths of stars that over dosed on illegal drugs. Where is their list of contributions made to society.

I have faith in justice system and he may have not molested all those kids but Im sure the first or second ones he did then people figured out they could send their kids to never never land and get some money for it. The man is nothing all the donations and crap he did for the "good of society" does not repay his debt for diddling little kids. The man deserves nothing he is getting. Maybe he made all those donations and stuff cause he felt bad for molesting children. The man is a pig and hopefully where hes at it very very hot

all those parents saw was dollar signs and everyone with a brain knows that. things were blown way out of proportion you can get a kid to say anything or believe things that did not happen. It happens in courts all the time. He was accused and not convicted and if it were my kid I would not settle for any amount of money I would want to see him fry so the fact it was settled led me to think it was all about the money and not the kids. Was he wierd yes was he a molester I don't believe so. This is a guythats never had the chance to live like a normal kid and it took it's toll.

You know what....I really don't care anymore people believe what they want to once someone is labeled it stays with them for life and I'm not a lawyer so I don't care what anyone things about this and I'm not going to argue a fruitless point. Michael gave millons and millions of dollars to charitys all over the world but all anyone see's is an accused offender even though he was never convicted....God Bless you all.

Well said...MJ was an amazing artist.

this may get ugly....

MJ admitted he shared a bed with kids. Not his kids, but kids. He said it was the most loving thing in the world to do, share your bed with the children. I don't know about you, but sharing a bed with kids is wrong. Big time wrong! And he was dependant on pain killers since his hair caught a blaze. They are going to press charges on the dr who prescribed the drugs! I don't care how much money you give away, the guy was a creep on drugs who had no clue. Get him off the news and stop acting like we lost someone important. He was nothing but a creep who had to pay off people not to press charges. And, he didn't give all that away, he was in debt 400m. His bank gave that money away.

If you let your kid hang out with that guy, you should get checked out because your nuts. You would have thought he learned a lesson with the first kid, but noooooo. keep messin with kids and keep paying.

and besides he was an awful fisherman!

and Canuck your a creep too lol

I don't condone child molestation Woodrow. I was talking about him being an amazing entertainer. Eat it Eric!!! LOL!
he gave money before accusations, sirfishalot, i agree with you on your points!!!

this is multi sided, if you a parent, and you let your child go there and something like this is brought up, would you settle for 20 million dollars to shut up or would you see to it that this baby molester is off the streets? my thoughts are, you just want money!!! on the other side, after being accused, would you let your kid sleep there?

my problem with the media, dead presidents dont even get this kind of coverage, ragan just died not that long ago and it was over in 2 days!!! infact the last time i seen this much coverage about someone dying was for princess diana, who rightfully deserved it.
makes me think something is actually happening out there and this is the deversion so we dont see it.

back to MJ, does anyone really care where the jackson kids actually go? or how much money is involved? or who the bioligical parents are?

Beyond hoping those kids get some good psychological help, no, not really.
Do I care to see the circus the media will make out of the memorial tomorrow, no. Good day to skip TV and put the Ipod to work.
Am I glad I don't live in Commiefornia, and have to see my tax dollars wasted on this, you're d*mn right, I'm glad.
