A friend of mine mentioned that he and his buddy have fished in the reeds south of grass island for perch for years using fiberglass style bambo poles which extend out from say 6 to 12 feet. He said they put on a small bobber set the hook to bobber depth maybe a foot or two with small worms and catch nice perch. He said the perch go into the reeds to eat the small snails off of the reeds. He also said that this year you can get your boat in there where last year you couldn't. When the fish hits you have to pull the fish straight up and then swing the fish back to the boat.. Has anyone tried this style of fishing??? Thanks
