Instigator passed on an email to some of us regarding two Golden Retrievers mixes, Benny and June. These dogs needed a home. They were pulled out of the Sanilac County Animal Control by two caring people who offered to foster the two until they could find them a permanent home. It turns out that with all of the forwarding on of that email due to all of the warmhearted people they are now in a happy new home!
However, I was just informed this morning that the Sanilac County Animal Control, recently had an owner "dump" a Yellow Lab mother and her 4 month old puppy off because they no longer wanted them.
The mother has gone to a rescue league/foster home and is now safe until she is permanently placed. However the Yellow Lab puppy is still there. Time is not on it's side. This is a kill facility!
