I really want to buy a Stratos boat (to save a little money), and really want to eventually try to fish in the Everstart series, but noticed that the Ranger owners had a priority entry over the Stratos owners as far as when you can register. I was just wondering how much of an advantage a guy had buy owning a Ranger over a Stratos in the priority entry into the Everstarts? Is there a significant difference in how many people sign up as Ranger owners as opposed to Stratos owners??

To be completely honest, I think the "priority" entry Ranger owners have over Stratos owners is only 2 weeks or so. As long as you have the money to pay for the tournaments up front, you should be ok. If I am wrong, someone on this board will correct me...

It's a great marketing strategy. Offer priority entry for owners, those who want in bad enough will take advantage... They got me!!!

I was in the market for a new rig, and wanted into the Everstarts. I researched the Brands with priority entry, and settled on Stratos. Ranger was too much $$$, and there is no Champion support locally. Stratos has a great ride, and I havn't heard many negatives. I really think Stratos is the dark horse on the market right now. Then there was the motor, FLW supports Yammie and 'Rude, looked at them both, and settled on'a 'Rude, That HO is awesome.

All that to say, I bought the Stratos, registered early AM the day it openned for Stratos, and got confirmed for all 4 northerns.

Ranger owners also get the benefits of Ranger cup!

you can win extra money by fishing from a registered Ranger boat in all of the FLW events ( everstart, bfl )

i would not knock another boat mfgr ( other that lowe and tracker ). stratos are sweet boats. i know many who own them, or have in the past.

i am still very green when it comes to boats. i dont know half of what i want to know, but i am learning.

i own a Ranger now. i like it. depending on who you talk to, you will hear different things about all the differnt boats.
its like ford and chevy, both have there own supporters and they usually knock the other. i know i do, chevy good ford bad

in reality, both are excellent vehicles. but everyones got an opinion.

if you want a stratos, dont let something like priority sway you. or the Ranger cup benefits. make sure you get what you want.

Rangers are sweet tho

When theres 200 Ranger owners signing up for the pro side, then you"ll need to worry.
If you make it in your gonna have fun its a great tournament circut to fish, very organized , and very competetive.
Good luck if you get in!!

Triton owner. Been on the waiting list for every tournament I've registered for. Been called for every tournament also. Right now I don't think it matters. Of course this could change, so no promises.
