I had this topic going a few months back. It got a lot of votes in favor of it but it got lost in the all the postings and pretty much died. I still think it is a great idea for the water.
Think of it as the "www.lakestclair.net" decal version for your boat. We have already seen how the decal has helped out a few members being stranded on the side of the road or just a friendly wave in passing, but we have nothing on the water.
Perhaps we should start the voting again?

All right here we go. I have found the two old threads on this and have them posted here.

It looks great I can get a quote from Wally`World if all agree.
I will only change background color on flag. Green is more like campgrounds, but

The burgee shown above was only my idea at the time. We would design several and then vote on it. It could have the entire "lakestclair.net" on it, or a special design to represent the organization. The "LSC.net" is already registered to a commputer interent company so we dont want to advertise for them. Colors can be modified to really look sharp and classy. Also would wantsomething that stands out from a distance so you know the boat you are about to run down is a member boat well before the fact.
As far as the funds being split between LSCN and SOSCL, I think that is a great idea.

I like it a s well. Wonder if we could get one of the admin's to do poll or at least pin a new thread on this and see how it takes off. The last one did great, we just didnt have the numbers we were looking for. Being the beginning of the boating season is up us, perhaps we will have a better voter turn out?
