We are heading to PIB this coming weekend, just wondering if anyone else is headed down. I'm taking my wife, she has never been there before. We are heading out Friday morning (after a night of Jimmy Buffet). The weather is suppose to be great, mid to high 80's, light wind. Let me know if anyone else is headed down, thanks.

You're kidding, right??? There's been a million posts on this board about PIB... aka Key West North.
Lots'a saloons, lots'a shops, quaint little village, winery, parasailing, boating paradise (unless Erie gets her skirts up), other islands to visit (more saloons, quaint villages, & shops), airplane rides, hotels, B&Bs..... etc etc....
Come by boat, or come by ferry (leave the car on the mainland if you do).

I suggest taking a bike instead of a golf cart. So much fun and cheaper than a cart. Plus no worries about DUI's.

Love your response

Miko, You really need to make it there. Best advice is to make a trip with another boat or a group of boats that have been there before so they can show you the ropes. It is a big trip to make and it helps when you can follow a veterans lead the first time. DO IT!

NO WAY!! I'm hoping it's a joke too.

Ray Fogg

Farewell Joe!

Longtime fans of my show will remember fondly the many visits made to my stage by Press House Joe, who usually favors the crowd with a blues song, translated into German. It's a really funny bit that Joe and I have honed through the years.

I'm saddened to say that Joe has announced that he will be leaving Put-in-Bay and moving to Austria next week so he can speak German all he wants! I'm very saddened to see my good friend Joe leave. I just realized that in my sorrow, I forgot that many of you will miss Joe as well.

So, I just wanted to let everyone know that this weekend will be your last chance to see Joe and I perform our rendition of the great Pat Dailey/Shel Silverstein song, Blue Catawba Moon. I hope you'll join us for some laughs and send Joe off with a resounding "prost!"

He must have had a motor strapped to his bike then. Or he got public intoxication, which is possible.

You know what, I think it was a public intoxication.

You have got to really do something wrong while driving a cart in PIB. I can tell you, there have been times where I don't even remember paying for the damn thing after the days use. I know that is bad, but I suppose I could be doing worse things in life.
