peeps,
i need some reliable input from a trans shop!
the last guy that looked at it quoted 250.00.

i'm looking for good work @ reasonable rate.

the truck needs a fluid / filter change & a band adjustment.
i would like to add a bigger trans cooler too.
anyone got a best friend or family could help me out here?
thanks

Try T&J Auto in Eastpointe, ask for the owner Jim. 586 773 1653. It's a small old fashioned type of garage, they do good work and don't bulls&%t you.
ThreeCrabs husband does this type of work I think. Where is she when you need her?
you might want to try this place - Drivetrain Specialists. i am having then do a gear swap for me in a couple of weeks. the phone number is 810.778.0540 and here is their website: Link

I dealt with DTS a few years back for a gear swap as well, they did a real good job and for a reasonable price. If they do trans work, I'm sure they'll do it well. Can't tell you how many garbage trans shops are out there; pay the extra money to go to someone with an excellent reputation, or you'll be going back again & again.
I've always delt with Bill's Transmission on Gratiot south of Frazho. It's not the first trans shop south of Frazho it's the second in an old brick building that is almost right on the street. They are fair, have good prices and won't flim flam you...

That's ok, your wife makes up for it.

Oh, and by the way...He's the best around. When you do race cars and monster trucks, everyday cars are a piece of cake.

Ok, boys....I'm in de house!

He's been doing transmissions since 1978. He also does rear ends (We know Kelly from DTS really well.....she's in our boat club, Sand Point) and drive line related repairs.

He specializes in hot rod cars transmissions. The season is here for that, too. But, he does a lot of people's personal vehicles....new and old and sometimes really old. He just did a Packard trans....

As Hammer pointed out....he does the monster trucks, too. Avenger is a good friend (Jim is from Dynamic Speed/Captain Cove's by Selfride)

He is one of the best in what he does and is very honest! I sold transmission parts for years and know a lot of the guys in the business.

We also stock parts....hard parts and kits...converters.....

Thank you so much for asking, Rerun!
