I used Interlux Interstrip to remove the painted name on the back of my boat. It was three black letters. The stripper got most of the paint off but the fiberglass under them is a light yellow collor. Im thinking its cause they were black letters and the absorbed heat yellowed the fiberglass or gel coat. Is there any way to polish over the letters so the transom is all white or do I have to use white paint? Could it be the gel coat that is damaged and in need of repair? I'd like to put a new name on there eventually but it will look dumb if you can still see the old name.
