Renting a boat from Jimmy's Tomorrow

522 Views 6 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  propwash
Tomorrow I am renting a boat from Jimmy's and taking a buddy out to fish LSC for the first time. He grew up on the east coast and has done a ton of ocean fishing over the years. I am relativley new to fishing LSC as well and have only fished the lake from a boat twice and the shore a handfull of times. Any ideas on where we should go once we leave Jimmy's is appreciated. We are suppose to head out at around 3pm and fish until the boat is due back at 7. I promise to post a report on how we did when we get back in.

Sorry, I did forget to mention I would to fish for Bass and maybe some walleye as well. Thanks for the help.

It all depends on what you are looking to catch. Bass, Walleye, Perch, Sheepshead, Musky, Etc. We need info to give info.
Earlier in the year we did the Jimmy's pontoon. Actually once you come out of that canal if you head to the right we found some smallmouth in that area.

Actually if you ask them when you get the boat they will offer up some of the hotspots from their customers buying bait during the week.
thats my recomendation is to ask jimmy's when you get the boat they will know the close hotspots
Well I know I promised a report today after I got back from renting the boat from Jimmy's. To make a long story short, shortly before we were suppose to head out my buddy called up and canceled on me causing the plans to get all jacked up. This seems to be a pattern of mine this year when it comes to fishing. This entire summer I have been making plans all the time to go fishing and I have a less than 50% success rate of it actualy happening. I am beyond frustrated. I don't have a boat and my saving up for one is taking forever. Fishing from shore gets real old real quick. It shouldn't be this hard to get out on LSC and fish. Sorry for the rant guys. Sorry for not having a report like I promised. And sorry to Jimmy's for having to cancel the reservation for the boat last minute. I cannot wait until I have my own boat and the ability to head out whenever the time allows.

Sorry about your luck. Try to watch for open seat threads that are posted almost every week on the site here. Fill out your profile some more and try to hook up with someone from the site. Wish you the best.

Better to rant rather than blow. Hope things work out. For future ref., where do you live and times you can fish just in case I have an opening if someone ever cancels. Remember, sometimes we get skunked in the boat and it costs you $$ for nothing. I still like to shore fish and cast off the docks, less effort and headaches. Took me 3 years to finally open the boat last year, was busy working all the time. Now un-busy, and cash slowdown, always one or the other.
