Ok, I expect to take some crap for this question but I will ask in hopes that one of you will provide some input...lol

I would like to take a girlI recently started seeing on an overnight someplace. I would prefer not to go all the way to put-in bay for this trip. What is the best place to go this coming weekend? Are there fireworks anywhere or anything going on on our lake? Any suggustions would be appreciated....Ladies help me out...

Hate to be the lone dissenter on Thomas Edison Inn... but thought we'd go up there a few years ago, they had a pretty good weekend package. I will never go back, the service from the hotel staff (uncleaned room and having to wait 45 minutes to check in because they wouldn't give us another room) to the terrible restaurant service (being a bit younger, our money apparently wasn't as good as the "senior" crowd there and we didn't warrant the attention they did), to the displeasing way they responded to my complaint, I will not spend another dollar there as long as I live. The hotel was nice, but after being in the customer service industry, I'd never pay to be treated that way again.

Bed and breakfasts are nice though!
