Went fishing the bay on Saturday the 4th out of Linwood, straight out to the end of the Saginaw Freighter Channel, north of bouys 1 and 2. 23-24 FOW. Didnt get the first fish untill 10am and we were off of the water by 6pm. 16 walleye, the smallest is 15" and we threw 6 back. Most fish were caught on spoons, blue w/ chart back.

Not too bad for a bunch of first timers.

Nice fish there. Sounds like a long day on the water, but well worth it.

A buddy was out there the same day as you but out near the "Sparkplug" He was fishing with his young boys and said they got 14 in about 2 hours fishing spoons and jets. Nice job on the fish as that is a heck of a day for first time there!

We were probally at the sparkplug, dont really know the names of the monuments out there. It took us some time to figure out what they wanted to eat and still then we were determined to drag harnesses on the bottom. L.S.C. thinking.

These fish bite very light and wouldnt pull the line out of the planer board releases. We learned a lot.

Nice fish! We also went out on Saginaw Bay on Saturday, we caught 8 fish with three guys. The largest was 22.5 and the smallest was 15. We launched out of Bay Port and caught everything on silver crawler-harnesses with red beads.

We thought we had good luck for first timers, way to show us up! Ha ha.
