Bob . . . I almost had #1 today. My dad and I were bass fishing down by nine mile. Trolled a red eye on the way back in. Had one for about 10 minutes -- to both sides fo the boat. Somewhere north of three feet. Of all things, the snap/swivel failed on his last run away from the net.

Sorry about the early release. As Bob has said elsewhere, consider plunking down the extra few bucks for Sampo snap swivels. Since I started using them a few years ago, I've never had one fail. If the only the rest of me and my tackle worked so well ...

Oh well such is life

. Bret, Steve and I started this morning before 6 A.M. and fished until 1:30 P.M. and did not land a fish. Had a few hits and Steve brought a small Muskie to boatside but it pulled off as soon as it got there. It was a beautiful morning and day. Jim Miller called and he hit two small Muskie after 2 P.M. in the Bay. This was Sunrise this morning. Bob
