Friday I worked my butt off to have the boat ready to rock and roll when Steph got there by 3:30. But, before here arrival took a swim in the pool with GradyTom. Headed over to Metro for the evening. Partied down with so many LSCN people's we almost filled the North Marina!

Saturday we slept in a bit. Made some ham and eggs. Cleaned up the boat and headed out about 12:30. Talked to many folks on the radio while on our way to Muscamoot Bay. Before that we ran by Gull Island to see a very tame looking good time going on. Pretty small party compared to past gatherings. We pressed on to the Bay to find 50 or so boats gathered. We collected about 10 boats in our raft throughout the day. Had such a great time swimming in the sunshine. Very relaxing. Beautiful day.

Sunday morning after a great hash and eggs breakfast and a couple dingy rides we blasted over to Goose Bay to continue some fun in the sun with a few cocktails mixed in with great friends. Swimming was awesome. Had about 8 boats rafted off. As the sun set in the evening we pulled anchor and had such a relaxing ride across the lake.

Just absolutely fantastic weekend. Thanks to all that make it happen perfectly.

Goose Bay was great yesterday. The weather was awesome and the company was better.

Only thing that was bad was a bee sting that Tigs got on her foot as she drove the boat.

The bees were horrible yesterday!!!

Was a great JN on Sat for sure. Many people commented it was their favorite ever. Laid back but still an awesome time!! I never went to the JN's in the old days, but I imagine that is what is was like.

I was so beat yesterday morning that I considered not going out. What a mistake that would have been!! The ride across the lake was so awesome I wanted to turn around and do it again!! Ended up getting my first sun burn of the year it was so nice out.

Bill - I wish I had my camera out, would have got some good shots of you guys leaving the bay.

Hope Tigs foot is okay! (passes her a band-aid for her boo-boo) We cruised the South and Middle channels and the weather was superb. Tried to anchor at Seaway Island but two huge freighters went by and it didn't matter if you had 2 anchors out to hold the boat down....well let's say it wasn't a good idea. lol Ended up at the end of the day at Poor Man's and just floated in the float tubes. It was a real relaxing afternoon. And thanks to Stodge about telling us about a snap tool to make it easier to snap down the canvas after a long day on the water. It worked beautifully! When I get those extra snap tools, I will be giving you one as promised. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, we forgot our camara this weekend. Bummer, the sunsets were spectacular. Wished I could have taken some of those shots.

Good to talk to you on the radio this past weekend. Going past the Gull Island party was tempting to attend. But, we had a really awesome time in Muscamoot Bay. Maybe some day....

J2 was great! The way it was 10 years ago, no fights no first time boaters bouncing off others.
Just everyone having a good time.

The moot was even better yesterday we had a dozen boats rafted in the family section just doing our usual thing. Only six boats left when we rolled out no one wanted to give it up prolly the last time in the water at the moot this year but what a day!!

Overall a pretty great boating weekend.

Hung out with the LSCN peeps Friday night at Metro and slept on the new boat. Thanks to Stodge for helping with the new VHF.

Saturday had to pull the head pump apart, not a pleasant job. Worked on it out at Art Van beach, but stayed down below concentrating on it too long and started to make myself sea sick. Had to hop out and walk around in the water and laid down for a short nap to avoid getting sea sick.

Sunday we hung out at the moot. Brought 4 people out with us. Hung out on our own but did a quick trip down the gauntlet and met Porno Dave. Also kinda met Fast Eddie as he cruised by.

GREAT weather out there, sucks being back in the office.

Yea..what was up with all the bees yesterday? Glad to know that we were not the only ones. My wife was convinced it was either some of the fruity drinks or someone's hair product or something that was attracting them.

Glad everyone got out there and enjoyed...the sunsets were BEAUTIFUL !!
I watched all the lake activities from our deck and tried not to feel too sorry for myself

For me..this was the summer that wasn't...but thats another thread. hehe

Bees seem to be MORE populated this year than I've ever noticed.
It's prolly my fault....I have the house and yard surrounded with blooming flowers and I think
they are having a safety meeting in there getting high off the nectar !!!
That invite to see the gardens is open again altho might be tricky...I think I can manage it :)

Seriously...there's a TON more this year...at least round here.
But, I bet it's Stodge's fault ....seeing as how Tig's got stung

I was minding my own business driving and I say I think I just got stung on my foot. It stung me between the toes I think as I stepped on it. He thought it was dead but it must have been hanging on.

Stodge said it was probably too late to ask if I was allergic. I'm going I'm not as far as I know. I've been stung by little sweat bees alot in Missouri and never had reactions.

It was a great weekend fishing Saturday and Sunday....

Saturday we fished all around Grassy Island in the bay and didn't really catch anything to speak of.

The only problem that I had was heading from the Shipping channel right behind the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club back to the Salr River Yesterday. The boat wakes were something special. They were hitting me from every direction..... But, we got perch and enjoyed the beautiful day...

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it out for the rest of the weekend, However I did have a nice time Friday night at metro. Its was really nice to finally put some faces with the lscn screen names. Everyone was super cool, and I look forward to hopefully getting together before the end of the season....Justin (nova J)

Not too bad a weekend. Got off to a really lousy start on Thursday by smoking the motor in my jet ski for the second time this year. That killed the idea of riding on Friday, so I cleaned the house and went for a boat ride in the afternoon. Didn't go anywhere in particular, just drove around enjoying the beautiful weather and burnt about 25 gallons of gas.

Saturday I stopped by JN2 for a little bit on my way to a party in Algonac. JN2 was sedate, the way it should be. Fun. I stuck around for a couple hours and continued my ride to Algonac. Just a beautiful day out. I did my best to help with the keg and stayed on my boat for the night.

Sunday I got up and got breakfast with my friends, then headed back from Algonac. I ran my boat out the sny for the first time ever. Not too tough, I stopped and asked a fisherman for pointers on the way out and following his directions I had no issues. I circled back around to Strawberry and relaxed there for a bit before heading back to shore to pick up some crew. We headed to Muscamoot, and though we got there late, we had a pretty good time and got to see some pretty good scenery.

Boating rules.
