At around 8AM on Thursday 8/18 we launched from the Nine Mile Ramp. Heavy weed rafts on the lake surface at Nine so we headed down to the Dumping Grounds and fished the Mile Roads on the way back. No live bait. Crank bait, divers. spoons and soft plastics. Mostly in less than 8 ft of water. In total we had about 8 fish on but only managed to boat 2 smallies. One of which was in the 2-3lb range. In retrospect, I should have put it on my Boga Grip. Next time. The bite died completely off by 1PM. I’ll try to post a picture.

Thanks for the good report. I would like to get out to that area and launch at the 9 mile ramp, but it is such of a loooong walk from the parking lot to the ramp for some guys to make. When I do get out to that ramp, I park my trailer in the parking lot & I can than park my car in one of the few handicapped spots right next to the ramp (no trailers allowed). Lot of extra work, but if I want to use that ramp, that's what I have to do. How is the launch ramp itself over there? I understand a while back that the dock was falling apart and not hardly usable. How was it when you went there ?

Logistics are still the same. The gate attendant gave us a ride back down to the dock in a golf cart after parking the truck and trailer. Still had to walk it back up afterward. Dock was in good condition. Newer floating style with a good amount of cleats for tying off on each side.
