With the thick ice we've got this year, what kind of Spring do you guys think we'll have? Any thoughts on when the ice will clear?

I hope the big lake will be clear by April 1. The ice cover should help a little with the levels, but the best determining factor (according to the Corps of Engineers) is the Lake Superior snow pack. It seems to be near normal this year.

Once again, I hope it rains every day in March and April.

Don't bet on the lake being up this spring. I heard that there was only about 5 feet of snow up there. I don't know if this is true but if it is it will be a shallow water lake next year again. We need the upper to get about 15 to 20 feet of snow to bring up the lake a inch or 2. It will come back in a few years. It always does. Bob
