Here's what we have seen this week in our surveys on South Lake St. Clair

Metro Beach:
Fishing is slow in the basin area with mostly small fish being caught.
Fishing on the lake has been fair recently with a few anglers getting up to 30 nice fish. Most are getting 5-10 fish in four to five hours of fishing. Bait is angler's choice.

Harrison Township:

Fishing has been fair to good depending on the day. Anglers have reported a few limit catches of nice fish but most are getting 5-10 fish after 4-5 hours of fishing.

St Clair Shores:

Fishing has been fair to good depending on the day north of the 10 Mile Road Blossom Heath site. Anglers have had a few catches of 30+ fish with most getting 5-10 fish after 4-5 hours of fishing.

The ice is getting worse and anglers need to use extreme caution as the warm weather continues. No cars should be driven on the ice and anglers with recreational vehicles need to be very careful. Off shore winds could also lead to ice separation from shore in the coming days.

As always, Jon, Thanks for the report. Any news on Anchor Bay(Fairhaven, Cotton Rd., etc.)?
