Those of you with Direc-TV can see the space shuttle Endeavor blast off on channel 283 at 7:13 pm tonight. Other than a live tornado, it has to be the coolest thing I have ever seen on TV.

The vehicle will burn through 500,000# of fuel and go from zero to 17,500 mph (that's just under 5 miles per second!) in less than 8 minutes.

Show your kids, the space program will be going through some changes and shuttle launches as we know them will be a thing of the past in a few years.

Sweet. I saw on the news that the launch was tonight but didn't know if it would be televised. It'll be my 6yr. old's first launch. Thanks!

All launches and landings are televised live with all of the audio from mission control and the crew on the NASA channel (283) on Direct-TV. Not sure about other cable providers.

Never mind, launch attempt scubbed at the last minute due to lightening in the area. Next attempt is tomorrow, not sure when. Carry on!
