I have gone to spencer a few times not really knowing what to expect. Just me and my girlfriend shore fishing. Any tips or advice anyone could give me as far as what to use and which spot to try. Any advice would be appreciated.

They have big largemouth, and Crappie there! Early spring i have had great luck casting near the beach into the weeds. As for this time of year, you can catch alot of blue gills with worms under bobbers along the south side of the lake. If you are looking more for bass i have had good luck there with smaller sized husky jerks and weightless rubber worms walking around the lake and casting where ever possible. I have had some friends catch pike when renting the boats they have available there. Hope this helps!

they rent boats there also what i used to do is bring a trolling motor then troll entire lake back and forth to cover entire lake they do have some decent size bass and crappies iv even caught a real nice pike ... but its been a long time since iv been there 10 or 15 years ago so things might have changed...

i even won a bass tourney there once... i won a stocked tackle box and a mister twister electric fillet knife witch i still use...

i would say rent a boat with trolling motor its like 3 or 4 dollers an hour which is good nice pike, bass, crappie, and if ur lucky there are few walleye in there but tuff to catch
