Anyone had problems being stopped by the Canadian DNR officers when they suspect you are fishing for bass on their waters prior to the Opening on June 26th?
If stopped, did they issue tickets?

Been stopped once, I was told that the season didnt open till the next day and I confirmed that to the officer. I then told them I was fishing for walleye.....they asked "With tubes?!?", I replied "Yes, I caught my limit in 15 minutes here yesterday....." no sooner got it out of my mouth and set the hook on a nice 3 pound eater and swung it in the boat. The officers waved, said "Nice job!" and left.
But I would not be around in their waters prior to opening season for bass while bass fishing (unless I KNEW I could catch a walleye or two)
