I have thought of a way to decrease the multiple BOARING hours of cycling coverage of the "Tour de France" !
Being fair, the "same day" coverage that the Bassmasters "Classic" and FLW "Cup" receive stinks, compared to these friggin bike riders taking up countless hours of TV coverage.(Seems like 24/7 for one week on verses)

I enjoy my Sunday morning fishing shows!!! Not 24/7 cycling

My suggestion is to find the tallest mountain in France….. And to help speed things along, Make this a 1 day DOWN HILL EVENT!!

now the TV coverage would be about equal.

Verses your frigging killing me...............................................

Hard to find good outdoors programming these days....

All deer hunting shows are showing bucks killed within high fence ranches. I won't watch a deer hunt anymore.

Hard to find good fishing shows that I enjoy as well.

On Direc-TV, the Sportsman's channel (605) is pretty good. MUCH Better than Versus and better than the Outdoor channel.

Honestly though, I don't think ESPN showed the final weigh-in of the Bassmasters Classic live this year which I thought was a crock of crap.

It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round but I have to admit that I'd rather mow the lawn with a pair of hand shears than watch bicycle racing for the same amount of time.

little guy: i have to agree with you on the deer hunting shows, to many huntin shows have turned into this.

I dont have the sportsmans channel, but they have a commercial for a turkey broadhead, that has three inch blades on it, one second the turkey is standing there , the next he's flopping around with his head on the ground, awesome,
And yeah, bike racing is not good tv, give em some weapons or make em pedal through the ghettos , then I might watch a second or two.

I have an idea.......WHY NOT JUST CANCEL BOTH .......

WHo needs a show to tell you how to fish (Dumb a$$).
Buy a pole put a lure and little worm on it, drop it in the water.
And STAY THE HELL OUT OF THE LANES BACK TO THE LAUNCH.

AND STOP FRIGGING POWER LOADING .............................

chewy62 you need to get a life....not all fishermen are bad...you need to remember that there are some pleasure boaters that are just as bad or worse...

Hahahaha... yep... one more episode of _____________ (insert celeb name) catching bass might be enough to get me to slit my wrists.

IMO - Cycling is more fun to watch than baseball, bowling, golf, etc. I applaud vs for covering the TDF, it is the biggest sporting event in the world and their coverage is pretty lame compared to every other industrialized nation in the world.

Wow now I know why I hate the rest of the world, especially the French, they did plant trees so the nazis could march in the shade right? They were defeated by Mexico in a war. Cinco de Mayo? By the way jerkoff how about instead of me getting out of your way back to the launch, you go around like a civilized human instead of tearing by some poor old guy who decided to take his grandson out on your lake for some fishing. I can tell you are exactly the type of person that has no regard for anyone but himself, if you can't afford the fuel to go out of your way, get hammered on your boat in the driveway.

i think the top half was directed more towards you, but the lower half (that you quoted) was for chewy.

Thanks, I hope so because it's been bugging me all day.

As for the first part the TDF is the largest annual sporting event in the world. World Cup and Olympics aren't annual events and the Superbowl doesn't even come close to the Euro Cup (football in all other countries except the US)

like you just said though soccer or "football in other countries" isnt annual, and i think the super bowl only gets bigger every year. as for technicalities, who cares? its over isnt it? lemme guess lance armstrong won and they're testing him for roids right?

ping pong is a little more interesting than riding a bike. and requires skill, not endurance.

chewy pretty much said, like you need a fishin show to learn how to catch a fish? NO, just like TDF though, not like i needed to watch so i could ride a peddle bike, ooooh they have gears WOW, might as well watch the SPEED channel so i can drive a car in a circle. or the food network so i can cook an egg.

how many competitors are there from the US? 4? 8? but its such a great competition that 1 guy wins every year.....sounds exciting
