LSCN X-MAS CHARITY.

Alrighty heres the plan. A short while back Emily brought up the idea of sponsoring a family in need at Christmas time. Well we have a profile for a single mom, who "is" working, lives in a APT. in a nice neighborhood. She has a 10 month old boy and a 3 ½ year old girl. She was put on this list by the Good Shepard Church Coalition. A while back she needed money to either pay rent or avoid having some utilities turned off. Now I would think she lives a halfway decent lifestyle and sounds like a good candidate for us to help out.

Shes asking for warm close for her kids and very few & very simple, inexpensive toys. I don't think she asked to be put on the list, I think its something the Church offered. With such a large group of us, well it shouldn't be that hard to take care of a family or two. In the near future Capt Mike will set up a paypal account to help with the fund raising and Ill be bringing a container to TnTs. I know that not everyone will participate and I know they shouldn't feel obligated to. I also know some people on these lists that don't deserve to be and Emily and I will be picking profiles carefully to make sure were helping the needy and not the greedy.

The Good Pirates of the Lake.

If you havnt heard of them its because I just made it up. Its us actually. We'll be raising funds for families in need this X-mas and when X-mas is done we'll still have some fund raisers off n on so we can help out in other situations. I know Amielou can use a little support. SOSCL. Plus our own Peeps have great charitable intentions. Basically The Good Pirates of the Lake will have a bank account with a little cash in it, so when something comes up through out the year and if its something we agree on we can help sombody in need or somebodies good cause.

I dont run the site and Im not incharge of the board, just Grand Marshal of Tuesday
So Im open for suggestions and even negative comments if somebody thinks its a bad idea.

CBJ, you have to make a run over to see Steve at the shop, pick the logo quick, you know how it works. Take CK with you. We'll sell em' next Wednesday at the party.

Were FN Pirates we dont need no stinking permits.....

Mt. Clemens parade is on Friday after Thanksgiving, I think they call it the Santa Claus parade.
Alright, mini, rich I gotta split, Ill call you when I get back ?Im already late to meet the Warden for lunch. ITs tuesday so I got to keep her happy.

Ill be back.
I am back, I was looking for something to collect donations with, something Christnmassy, like one of those cookie jars that when you open the lid it says Merry Fricken Christmas. No luck. They had some other crap that was ceramic and kind of pricy. So I got this little chrome bathroom basket thing. We can use it temporarily until we come up with something nicer.
