Hola Amigos, a warm hello from your old friend Chili ******!

This is the first time I have been able to sign in to this website in years. Outstanding!!

The old days of LSCN, a walk through memory lane, or at least old threads.

Who is still here?

Hello Great Lakes,
How is life in the fast lane?

Life on the border is good, except we don't have a border anymore.

Women and water are in short supply but thanks to Elon we have internet from the stars down here. As long as I keep the Monkey turning the generator crank we are good. I have him addicted to Beto tweets so the power supply looks good.

This site seems to have a different layout, kind of modern looking.

When are you splashing in the pond?

Hello TropicAL,

Well, there's a guy to brighten my day! How has life been treating you?

Yes, I have still been doing some writing, had alot of things written down, but lost the manuscript while canoeing in the Gulf of Tomini just south of Waleabahi Island. Never knew the sharks were that big and I had a choice to save my Tiger Beer or notebook. Anyways, the women on that island are exquisitely trained in the most wonderful foot massages, so I soon forgot my troubles. Back in the States now so I should get serious and start writing while we are still young.

I will have to go through and read the threads, seems like a million threads and only 5 started in the past 2 years. There were some really wonderful people in the boathouse. Did facebook take them all? Hopefully, things might pick up!

What type of boat are you rolling with now Al?

Yes, seems like the new board has a problem with the word gringooooo. Never heard or seen it as an offensive word.

TropicAL,
Seems like a lot of my original posting in "Life and Times" says it was removed by the moderator. At least that is what I see on my end. Maybe during the changes and switchover. Who Knows?

Wow Chili! good to know you are okay, things are a lot different and sadly yes most have gone to Facebook never to return. A few of us still check in but the site has lost much of its luster. It sure puts a smile on my face remembering some of your tales.

Cheers!

Sailor,
Glad to see your on the site!
Great to hear from you! Should be getting the season started up there soon. I am actually sitting at the border deciding should I go north or south. Walked two miles down a mountain before I realized I left all my pesos in the truck. Had to walk 2 miles up and now I need a Cervesa break. Photo attached. Great Lakes, here is your border. Funny all the stuff you have to do to report back in from Canada. Ahh, the good old days!

That looks like some barren land there Chili! Where are all the future low rider crop pickers? I never understood why Mexico lets all these people tromp through their country leaving a ugly path of debris behind while most are heading to the US and a few making Mexico their new home? I think we should just pay for a wall to be built on Mexico's Southern border where it is only about 25% of the distance as the US/Mexico border! If Mexico continues to allow this migrating flow, maybe we should slap some sanctions on them. We could start by not allowing Ted Cruz and family to vacation in Cancun so as not to spend their pesos South of the border! Lol

Hola Away Point!,
Good to see you on the site!

I hope life has been treating you well. What happened to the LSCN site? I tried to long in for years.

How was your 4th?

Your old Amigo,
Chili
LSCN magic was the planets aligned, the tide was in, and it was summertime. It was JFM!

Alas, change being the only constant, time rolled on, largely deflating LSCN. It's impact remains, however, and I remain thankful for the lasting friendships and memories!

July 4th was good, however I am perplexed, as last I noticed, it was merely May, not July!

Hopefully I can remember to check in here more often. Great to see you! :)

Just came across this photo, I believe this was one of the races out of Miami to Bimini. The beginning of a culture. Back then everyone followed the leader, and hoped he knew where they were going. This was before the square grouper and coke days. But it didn’t take long……..
