You guys will get a kick out of this one. It actually just happened today. I took my little brother duck hunting for the first time today. He was really excited to go and did he witness a spectacle today! We went for the morning hunt to Shiawasse. At about 10:30am we have a goose come over and the 3 of us let about 5 shots go and I am the last to shoot. I was waiting because I wanted to let my brother shoot first because it was his first time. On my second shot I dropped it. It hits thewater and I see its heads still up. So I get on my horse and start sprinting through the marsh while my brother and best friend are laughing at me. To make a long chase short, 2 more shots an about 400 yards later I finally get to it about 10 feet away from the refuge. I almost didn't get him. So like most duck hunters I see I am not in the greatest shape! I make my way back to our spot and I have now coverd an 800 yard distance in about 7 minutes. MInd you I am in full warm hunting clothes, waders, and shot gun, and now I have a heavy goose to carry back. I get back and sit down and tell everyone I don't feel so good and they promptly reply you don't look so good! I don't know if anyone has ever ran themselves til they were sick but this is what happened to me. As soon as they tell me I don't look good......BLAHHHHH! breakfast all ove th place! So for the rest of the moring I am the laughing stock of the marsh! I don't know whether I got that goose or he got me! At least my little bro has a funny memory of his first trip.

A little embarrassing for me but I thought you might get a kick out f it! I understand if you are laughing at me and not with me!LOL!!!

A few peeps went up...Where are ya!

I wasn't able to make it up, a neighbor went up and was able to get a spike. It costed him $250. I guess his club has a six point rule. Shoot anything less you pay a fine.

Almost got one pulling in the driveway last Saturday morning about 2:30 ish.....

Our group of 5 got 6 deer, all bucks. 3 are monsters the other 3 just nice 7 & 8 pts. Freezer is now full. I e-mailed Gary the pics so he will post them. YAHOOOOOOO!!!

My season was a little uneventful this year considering my hunt only lasted about an hour and a half. My little bro and I went out and sat together and at about 45 minutes after shooting time we had two bucks come in, a 4 point and an 8 point. I let my brother take the eight point and he dropped it in its tracks. The 4 point ran off about 40 yards and stoped so I lined up and took him. We both had our deer in under a minute apart.

Pretty exciting!

I'm heading up again tomorrow morning and staying until the end of the season.

I Hunted most of my Life .I use to hunt Deer in the Rainy River District of Northern Ontario.Generally there was about 12 to 16 of us staying in camp at one time ,We usually got 12 or so Deer.

Sh I hear something .Is your gun Loaded.

Uncle Al's Gang!

"Two of the 8pts score over 130 pope and young points. They were taken in Sanilac county on Sat. and Sun. The other 8pt is 120 p&y and my 7pt is a runt compared to the others. The 8pt on the left weighed 230lbs dressed. I have seen him several times bowhunting but he was always out of range. Hope you enjoy the pics."

After hunting most of my life I have come to the

conclusion that the Deer are smarter then I.
