Tom Watson,, two months shy of his 60th birthday, has led the British Open for the last three days against the best golfers in the world. This is unheard of in any sport. Here is the story. I for one will watch and root for him to win it all tomorrow although the odds are greatly against him.He is, after all, an old fart like me.

cut some grass and listened to talk radio while some of you were boating on the North Sea, could be one of the best sports stories the radio boys were saying, I agree, hope he can do it

Well, he gave it a great shot but missed a 10 foot putt on the last hole to close it out. He eventually lost in a four hole playoff to a fellow American Stuart Cink. It was the first major for Cink. What a run for any golfer let alone one almost 60 yoa. He was still great even in defeat.

Although I'm not much of a golf fan, I watched also, & was hoping he would win it. He played a great tournament!
