This just in:
On Wednesday my producer Mike Buschell and I went to Port Huron to fish the Salmon Stakes Tournament Press Day Outting. We took a beating from the wind, it was brutal but we went 4 for 7 including a nice 12lb laker that Mike got. . .we threw it back. . .season starts May 1st. I took the biggest fish. . .a 9.4lb king. If we would have had a less windy day we could have slammed 'em good but with 3, 4, 5 and a couple of six footers, we were having trouble controlling the boat. . .I'm going to pair up with Doc George for the actual tournament on April 26th. Doc seems to think we should win it. I think those charter guys are going to murder us. Anyway, it'll be fun and it's for a good cause. . .by the by. . .be looking for me out on Clair around Wednesday. . .I'll be the one traveling at a high rate of speed. . .hanging on for dear life ! I sign the papers on her today. . .hope to pick her up by Tuesday. Man am I stoked. . .
