We have a ring that came with the boat. I think it looks a bit ratty.

Do the square cushions with handles count as the throwable device?

If so I may throw away the ring, or at least retire it into my basement never to be used again...

Yes!

Look for the U.S.C.G. approval numbers on your throwable. Just whent with friend of mine to marine store, a new throwable was around $14.00.

It's recommended you have 75 feet of small line attached to one of those handles also.

I won't buy white again either since I kneeled on it do outdrive work,its a little dirty now.

Maybe you can make a noticle dart board with the old one.

I had a safety check and the cushion alone was fine, but the coasties did recommend a line attached to it.
