Not another one. Sorry to hear that. Is it a temporary lay off or basically a friendly firing?

i use the attitude, when one door closes, you see all the open doors that you passed by before.
there is another door out there with your name on it.

Well, good luck. And if you find anything that works in getting you a new job, please let my wife know. She's got like 15-20 resumes going out a week, and ZERO calls back.

Pauligan,
So sorry to hear that.. I'm sure that you'll be able to find another job in your field. Keep your chin up... My daughter lost her job awhile back and collected unemployment until it ran out. Now she has decided to get a job at Dave & Busters being a waitress and she seems happy... If anyone goes to Dave and Busters for dinner ask for Kimberly and give her a big tip... She has my grand-daughter to feed...
Pauligan I'll say a prayer for you to find a job soon after your present job is terminated...

I have maybe 4-8 weeks...
do you have savings???

You could look at this as an opportunity to have an awesome summer????

We should start a thread that just has members' work-related skills, so that those of us that still have their jobs can keep an eye out for each other?? Just a thought.

I think we need to try it again, (skills list, that is), I am keeping an eye out for any openings for the Boss.

Networking is still the best way to find a job, belive me,
I have hired 7 people this year and only 1 came in cold.

I know I'm not a big poster on this board, so pauligan, WHAT DO YOU DO?
