Where's the MC numbers?

Ohhhh, I think I smell the State peeps a peeping.

Looks good though. We are thinking about getting one as well. Makes it a lot easier in the shallows and hauling stuff to the beach.

Am cruising to a few anchorages this summer where we wanted to get to shore close by. I thought maybe just an air mattress or inner tube would have to work, but found this.

Didn't want expense or hassle of full size dinghy, just something that is:

A) inexpensive ($69)
inflatable (can use 12 air compressor in a flash)
C) easy to stow (weighs 15 lbs and folds up small

Thinking I don't need MC numbers if no engine ( a 2hp can fit on but no plans for one).

A friend of mine just bought a '90 or '91 30' SeaRay so we went out on it today to check it out. Nice boat, very clean. Stopped in at Nelson's for lunch.

The boat is rack stored at Sassy's in a heated building.

QUOTE(hammer @ Feb 2 2004, 07:26 PM)Hey sidelite, I think I have a small electric motor for that boat. I used to have one but someone left it in little muscamoot bay.

So they left the boat or the motor in the bay?

the boat. It had two round eyelet things that the motor rod slid through. I used to hook it up to a jetski battery and cruise around the marina. Now I use a 15hp merc on a hard bottom quick silver.

Sidelite,

We are looking at picking one up for the same reasons you did. Bass pro shops has one in the ad this week for $89.99 (reg 149.99), do you mind if I ask where you got yours ? The one at Bass Pro would work, but it's "camo" color for fishing and I think we'd rather go with something a little more neutral.

Thanks

I got this one from fogdog sports online:

Fogdog Inflatable Boats

The brand is Sevylor, which seems fairly popular, also available at Dicks Sporting Goods. You can fine numerous places to puchase them ... all seemed to be within a few dollars of each other.

I like the fact that it has like 4-5 separate air chambers to fill so if you somehow punctured one, you wouldn't sink.

Haven't "road tested" it yet ('cept the family room
) so can't really give you much feedback.
