Are there any other tow insurance options out there? MMS is not offering tow insurance this year. See quote below.

Thanks for your inqirey into our towing membership program. The insurance company that we were towing for"vessel assist" has been bought out by another towing co. There is a new company forming as we speak that will encompass the past vessel assit towers. Unfortunatly the formation isn't complete yet so I have nothing to offer. Im sorry. Look for a strong campaign in 2005. We'll be ready then thanks for your support W. Leslie

I do not want to get stuck out there and have to pay the hourly rate.

Boat U.S. offers insurance, but you must be a member. I believe it is $14. I believe there are 3 towing packages. $55, $75, & $90. The difference in each is the limit on distance. It has been a year since I went through it, so I may be a little off on the prices. Also, I saw a post months back of someone offering insurance. It sounded very good. I think it was a sponsor of this site. You can do a search for it. Good luck

I was with boat us for many years and happy. I just switched to our new sponsor Fritsch-Kinney yacht insurance in St. Clair Shores for $427. cheaper per year.

NOW I HAVE A $1000. ZERO DEDUCTIBLE TOWING COVERAGE ALSO INCLUDED FOR THE LESSER PREMIUM.

Click on their banner to the right and give Eric Kinney a call for a quote. I'm sure the towing coverage varies depending on vessel, but tell him what you want.

I recammend "SeaTow" to my customers. For $119.00 a year, they will come get you wherever you are broken and bring you to either your home port or another of your choosing. If necessary, they will bring you gas, or a jump start. They'll help if you are stuck on the bottom (safety permitting) They'll even help de-tangle your props. If you are broken, before a tow, they will help look for a simple solution or repair.

Give 'em a call @ (586) 725-2222 or (800) 4SEATOW and tell them Al from Dolphin Marine sent you.
