Went out with a buddy and his son tuesday . Got out on the lake about 6:30pm. Saw a group of boats about 300 yards off shore from 9 mile, and decided to join them{figured they were perch fishin}. Threw out the anchor fished for about 15 minutes then the wind started to really kick up. Pulled up the anchor and decided to drift. Turned the lake from a 1ft chop to about 4ft in no time. Was about ready to head back in but decided to stick it out for just a little longer. Ended up catching 5 smallies, 1 rock bass and 5 perch. My buddies son hooked a nice hog that he battled for about 15minutes. Was worth the wait!

Awwrright, Bill! Now who's hooked better, the boy on fishing or the smallie? Judging from the smile, I think I know tha answer. Great post!

Awwwww. That smile is priceless! My Son is 5 and 1/2 and I just started introducing him to fishing. It's hard though since he is only excited for an hour, and after that he is kicking and screaming, wanting to go home. Hope the attention span for fishing improves with age.
