went and saw my buddy pete today at the burn center. (for anyone who doesnt know, he was burned in a house fire in highland park about 2 weeks ago. about 40% of his body has third degree burns) the first time i visited him just days after the accident he was in great spirits....today was not that way. they have done some skin grafts and he has to get his bandages changed 2 times a day. then they scrub the wounds till the skin is pink. He wasnt looking so good today, though they say it is normal...gets worse before it gets better. he said he is in undescribalbe pain. he just kept sayin "dont ever get burned bro< dont ever get burned." we did get a couple laughs out of him though...good lookin blonde doc walked by and the three of us all turned our heads then looked at each other....made him crack up. the guy needs prayers now more then ever....i cant imagine what he is going through.
guys have been bringin him there dept t-shirts which is pretty cool. i brought him one with our station logo today. i guees the guys from his station might be doing a fundraiser for him....the city is payin the hosp bills but work comp only pays 80% of his wages...he is gonna be out of work for a while....that 20% loss will be hard (we dont make enough as it is!!)

i truely believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking...and the more the better....which is why i am posting about him....figure maybe his healing process will be a little easyer if he was that power of all your prayers and hope behind him.
