I always stay at the RIO, it is off the strip and it's best to rent a car if your going to stay there. Parking everywhere is free. The RIO has a great buffet and they have a cool air show going on every 2 hours in the new part of the hotel. The rooms size they give you for the price is a great deal. RIO also has 2 hot spot Clubs in the hotel.

We're going for a wedding at Mandalay Bay.
A car is not necessary, unless you want to get to other places off the strip, like Hard Rock or Fremont Street.
