Mike, those pictures are great! It was awesome to see so many people out there. What a tremendous effort everyone made to work together.

I'm so glad we did this, i met an amazing amount of people and had such a good time.

Thanks to all that worked their BUTTS off to make this come together!!!!

Off the Hook!!!
Way to go LSCN!!!!

What's with the one row of boats at the one end not attached to the rest of the main raft?

That was from the night before, Snow. The SPYC folks had a little raft going when we pulled in there around 10:30 am. By the time the official count took place at 4:00, the two sections were connected.

Wow, what a turn out!
We couldn't have asked for better weather. Miaphoto and I hung out with Rich Rudisill from Lake Norman and he was so impressed with our raft off. He had no idea what to expect when he came to Detroit. Needless to say, he was floored. Glad that he had an opportunity to come and party with us.

There ain't no party like a Detroit party!

It's REALLY hard to tell from these pix, but I estimated about 250 boats ties off in these photos from 1:40.

to keep our record!!!!!!!!!!
detroit party!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CALLING TANGO 7 AND GOOSE!

When would be a good time for you to come on down and do a little scrubbing on the boat? It is still warm until the end of October and you guys can always come on down in the spring...

Oh, what's that? No... No... Take a look at the link here:

http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com

It says, "The greatest number of boats tied together in a continuous free-floating line is 691 on Lake Norman, North Carolina, USA on June 25, 2000 at the "Raft-Off 2000" event."

The little word continuous really hurts doesn't it?

I will give you that it was a very good attempt!

Check my math 1600/3=533... Ouch!

So let me know what is a good time for you!

GO LKN!

(I'll post it here too)

Not so fast there buddy........

When I walked down to where those lines were seperated in the pic they WERE connected about 2:30. And there alot more boats in that line than what the pics show, I gave up trying to find the end.

Don't be so quick with the fuzzy math!

I was unable to make it to both ends to see for myself, but I'm pretty sure the 3 lines you see did connect. There was actually a third line that formed parallel with the two that are seen, and I heard that it was connected as well.

The back to back gauntlet style raft is the only way to do it in the bay!!

Yeah Capt'n Mike, I think that he got his 'naughts' confused with his 'gazintas' when he was doing all that high level cipherin' of his!

It's hard for them hillbillies to count when they only got 9 fingers and 8 toes!!!

Instigator and Robyn, thanx for the hospitality.

I was on the bright blue bass boat with Mac and Mini....we were hard to miss coming through the gauntlet!!!

Goose & Tango & Everyone involved!!

You all did a great job and I know the south end was all connected by 4:00. Congratulations and get some rest you deserve it.

We need to find you both a real messy covered well area to park your boats for about a week till the guys from Lake Norman Arrive. HEE HEE just kidding.

Congrats to both groups for two wonderful fun and safe events. Next year will only be bigger.

When I tried to open the pics all I got was a blank screen.

Did anyone else have this problem?
