7pm-10pm report 3 walleye lost the fourth at the boat 17-21in long, 17fow, ne of the scl, on gold/red and fire tiger harness with a 2oz bb. 2 was on boards and 2 was on down rods. I only had a desposable camera time to but my digital on the boat.

The Coast Guard came by at 10pm and checked us out. I was legal. This was my first run in with them. They was actually pretty nice about it all.

Something was going on this week. A helicopter was flying all day up and down the shore (saint Clair Shores) for the last 3 days. I think it might be border patrol, but no markings. Perhaps, it was a joint effort to check smugglers or alike.?

I was out near the Light yesterday too, a little East of it. Trolled harness for a few hours. I think we caught every rockbass in the lake! a bunch of perch, a huge sheephead, and probably a musky, as it was very big, fought it for a minute, it turned and cut the harness (which is 15# test). Basically we were catching a fish every 5-10minutes. Couldnt buy a walleye yesterday. Fun day, just no walleye. Took girlfriend out, so i was constantly busy clearing weeds, baiting, taking fish off ect.. Wanted to stay until dark, but she had had enough by 8pm.

QUOTE(Large Mouth Peks @ Jul 28 2009, 11:28 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Good work on the eye's!!!

Thanks for the report W.S seems like a nice forum you have here. Whats the deal with the local police? In my area they usually leave game and boat laws to the proper authorities. Anything special I need to know to avoid issues? Thanks again for the report and I'll be sure to post my weekend results. Thanks again. D.D

For some reason it seems the young officers feel compelled to harange people, every time I've had a run in and felt like I was being put through the ringer its a guy under 30, last time he asked if he could search my vehicle , I said for what? he said you got something to hide, I said get a supervisor out here and you can search, he told me to beat it. But the CG have always been proffessional with me, and they don't waste your time, 10 minutes and its on your way,
Great post walleyesteve, WTG
