WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!! FISHED FROM 7AM-11AM CAUGHT ONLY 4 WALLEYE 14-18 INCH. ALL WERE CAUGHT RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF METRO BEACH. 15- 20 YARDS OUT FROM THE BUOYS IN 6 FEET OF WATER. STILL CASTING SMALL SINKING CRANKBAITS IN SHAD COLOR. NOT A GOOD FISHING DAY BUT A GREAT DAY ON THE WATER.
Went out Sunday morning just outside the mouth of the salt river drifting. Only about 45 minutes before rain started, got one 20" walleye and a perch. Ther were wuite a few boats out and I saw quite a few 'eyes being landed.
Went out last night and picked up 3 walleye and 7 smallies in front of metro trolling harnesses. The walleye's were 14-15" each. Tried trolling for muskie off the point before switching to walleyes and had no luck.
