We took a three man limit Saturday morning from 9 to
noon. First two fish were a double header, so we threw
out a marker and every time we looped back around and hit our mark we hit 2, 3 and one time four fish. The only bad thing was that every one else around us started fishing our marker. We put a lot of fish in people's boat...and to the $#@^[email protected]@ that picked up our marker, you need to lay off the sauce when operating your vessel.
Fish were taken in 16 fow on chartreuse harnesses. There's a ton of fish there, you just have to work hard to find them.

If you tie a small dead tree branch to a sock with a rock in it,and 20lb.test line you stand a better chance of someone not realizing it's a marker, Plus using a plastic bird that floats as a marker also helps.

Good going on that excellant fishing hunt. Maybe next time try anchoring in the hot zone and cast crankbaits. That should keep ppl away. If a boat gets close take a break for a few min.

Great job Canuck, we tried the dumps on friday with very little luck. I only marked one or two fish. Trolling, tried cranckbaits etc etc. Ended up catching some perch and a huge sheephead on a bouncer/harness combo. Charatruse mind you, seems to be the hot color. We ended up leaving when all boats dispursed by 11 or so and going to my favorite spot not far from gull (I am sure u know what im talking about). Drifted and made a few rounds. Found a small spot where all the eyes were concentrated in a school as weird as it sounds. fishfinder just wouldnt stop beeping. Drifted through the spot a few times and only caught one. They didnt seem too active that day, but at least i found them. Marked on trhe GPS. If you want to know the coords, just shoot me a PM. I dont want the same thing to happen as happened to you with ytour marker
