First time trolling today.. We went out to the mouth of the Detroit River and followed the channel to about 8 mile. Caught 2 walleye between the War Memorial and 8 Mile. Continued to Troll to the Ford Estate, caught a small mouth bass. For a first time effort and only an hours time, I thought it wasn't bad. I of course am stuck captaining while my boyfriend handles all the equipment, lines, reels, bait, etc. He was using number 9 rapalas today with dipsy divers around 10ft down.

Has anyone else had any luck with the walleye...looks like I will be captaining all summer.

I have had some good luck with walleye except for this past Sunday. I don't troll for them though, only jig.
