A co worker of the wife's mentioned that with all the rain and run-off we have been having that it is not safe to swim or eat fish caught from the Clinton River southward for about the next two weeks. He says the main concern is not so much the rain and run off but the raw sewage coming into the lake.

I can understand about the swimming part (its too cold to get in the water right now anyway, but the fish? Is this a true concern or is he being "over" cautious?

What about half the fishing guide you get when you buy your fishing license is warning's on what fish are safe to eat and how often you can eat it. What else needs to be said.
