We are eager to do some pike fishing on the flats. The past couple of years the water levels have made it difficult to effectively fish the flats. How does it look this year, although it is early?

My guess is up about 4-6" over this day last year. The rain helped along with the easterly winds today.

Office lady at Beacon Cove said they were up 7" from last year at this time when I picked up my stickers a couple weeks ago.

Link to a water level chart. Looks like we are up about 6", and I would agree with that.

So what was sticking so far out of the water a week ago in the middle of the mouth of Muskamoot Bay? An upside down tuna boat?
