Tried trolling for some muskies this afternoon. The weeds were so bad, we couldn't clean our lines fast enough. The last straw was when our planner board lines snapped due to weed build up. That brought an early end to the day as all of our releases are at the bottom.

Bring a weed wacker.

Weeds are good ........ Weeds = More fish.

Suggestion is ....... don't troll in heavy weeds instead try another method such as jigging and cranking.

I am curious ...... what lake and where if you was on the pond?

Are you talking about surface floating broken weeds?

your right about the floating weeds, I was out tonight and they were thick all the way from 9 mile tower east to the shipping channel!
but it was a nice night on the lake

next time out I will head further east.

We started out in the dumps and headed toward 9 mile. Well out into the lake in front of the GPYC was the worst.
