Hey CK!
Thanks for the warm welcome! Seven Million Jigawatts is a new pop/rock/alternative band that plays both originals and favorite hits for the 70s, 80s, 90s along with brand new stuff!! We have been playing around the midwest for the last 7 years as the Mr. Happy Band, but changed our name and rebuilt the show last year. Any of you folks that visit Put-In-Bay might have seen us at the Round House Bar, where we are entering our eighth season.
We are now featuring Melissa Behring as our lead vocalist. Melissa is CMU music grad, and also used to crew on an NA-40 in the St. Clair Saturday series. We also have Mike Concepcion in the band, who took second in the Joe Satriani guitar contest held in Detroit last year. We are having our East Side spring kickoff weekend at Kelly's Lounge located on Hayes near 19 Mile this weekend, April 23/24. Saturday night is my birthday, and we will be partying proper, I assure you! Our first set of Round House shows will be on April 30, May 1 and May 2, for the evening shows. We will be playing in the evening and our dear friend Mike MADDOG Adams will be playing the afternoon shows on Saturday and Sunday.
If any of you from the board come out to the show, please come up and introduce yourself. We love making new friends!
As for you other musicians out there, I would love to meet you and swap originals, etc.
